The value of community groups for spiritual growth

You know, joining a small group is honestly one of the best ways to explore your questions about faith and grow spiritually. These groups offer a supportive space where you can connect with others—whether it’s a Bible study, a men’s group, or a women’s group. When you show up for these regular meetings, you get the chance to build relationships with folks who are also figuring out what it means to follow Christ.

Building relationships and growing

When we get together in these groups, we can dig into God’s word, share what’s going on in our lives, and encourage each other. This kind of shared learning and friendship really helps us understand more and stay committed, creating a community where everyone feels lifted up and supported.

Men's bible study

Just so you know, the men’s bible study group meets every Monday from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the church. Each week, we dive into different topics and go through selected books of the bible together. Our goal is to support one another as we grow and learn from God’s word. By connecting, we can help sharpen, challenge, encourage, and pray for each other.


Come and experience the blessing of Christian fellowship—where you’re free to be yourself, find encouragement, face challenges, and grow in God’s image. We’re all about building a closer relationship with God and deepening our understanding of His word.


Just so you know, everything you share with the group stays confidential.


Women's bible study

We'd love for you to join us for our women’s weekly gathering every Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. Each week, we get together to dive into God’s word and have some really meaningful conversations. We explore, ask questions, and share our thoughts, which helps all of us grow in our understanding and faith.


We support each other through prayer, and it really builds a strong sense of community and fellowship. If you’re looking for encouragement or just a place to connect, this is where we lift each other up. Gathering together lets us experience the joy of getting closer to Jesus, side by side. Along the way, friendships are formed and we all grow spiritually.


Everything we talk about stays within the group and is kept completely confidential.



HOME GROUPS

About our bible study home group

We’re a friendly group who get together on Thursday evenings around 7:00 p.m., taking turns meeting at different members’ homes in Almonte. These evenings are all about connecting, making sure everyone feels welcome and valued. Whenever you visit, you’ll be greeted with a smile—and there’s almost always cookies or cake to enjoy while we chat.

What to Expect

  • Fellowship: You’ll get to know  others in a relaxed and friendly setting.
  • Refreshments: There’s always a treat—think cookies or cake—thanks to our wonderful hosts.
  • Worship: We’ll join together for uplifting music and praise.
  • The Word and Prayer: We spend time exploring scripture and praying as a group.
